Okay so I got home at 4pm on Friday from Boston to my whole family waiting at my house, I can't think of a better way to be greeted. Even though I was exhausted from all the partying the night before, the festivities quickly got under way.
While I was gone Brett had decorated the inside of the house, didn't he do a great job?

My dad carved the pumpkin (he did have some help from Kenna and Julianna). Brett got this pumpkin the weekend before in Fallon at the pumpkin patch.

This is the final result, not too shabby, huh?

While the girls were getting dressed us adults found some old costumes in a box my parents brought up and decided to play dress up.

Here are the girls costumes, Julianna went as a pirate and Rebecca went as an army cadet (her costume was called Captain Cutie).

Lots of candy was to be had and I can't remember the last time I went trick or treating although it was easily 15 years ago (I know I am a lot older than I look) but Grandma J at the last minute got in on the action.

When we got back to the house we had pizza and cuddled up on the couch and watched It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (Brett is a huge Charlie Brown fan in case you guys were wondering). At one time we had all ten of us on the couch, now that's one close family.

Eventually we all went to bed or to the hotel or apartment (remember guys when Kenna would call hotel's apartments?).
The next day was the Nevada Day Parade in Carson City. It's a family tradition to meet up with our God Parents and their family to drink (really the emphasis is on drinking) and watch the parade.
Here is a picture of me with Rebecca and Julianna early on in the day, look how dry we are.

Then it started raining, here is Brett and I looking cold and drenched.

What Nevada Day parade wouldn't be complete without an appearance from the Moonlite Bunny Ranch.
If you don't know what the Moonlite Bunny Ranch is click the link above.Every year for the parade we claim the same block, its like a small community, we share blankets, chairs, flasks and although we aren't all related we are family.

After the parade we went over to a friend's (some one from our parade watching block) house for chili, it was amazingly perfect after sitting in the rain for the last three hours. Then we headed back to Reno. That night Brett, Jerry, Kenna and I took Rebecca and Julianna to Cosmic Bowl (you know bowling where everything glows under a black light). It was a blast and I can't remember the last time I went bowling, and I don't think wii bowling counts, and I was surprised that I didn't suck as bad as I thought I would.
The next morning we went to brunch with some family friends and then everyone headed out to go to their respective towns. All in all I had a wonderful time except for when Rebecca wouldn't share some of the candy from the parade, she said that I could maybe have her cotton candy dum dum but only after she tried it. I decided at that point that I maybe didn't want any candy after all.

Seriously, I loved having my family in town. I loved having 10 people in my house, the craziness, the noise, the love. It made me want to buy up 4 houses in a row (you know when I win the lottery) so that we could all live next door to each other. I love how much fun I have with my family and how close we are all to each other.
Can't wait to see you guys in 21 days at Thanksgiving!

Looks like a great weekend! I love your huge couch. I wish I had room for something like that at my place.
I enjoyed this post a lot. I think the picture with "the family" on it says a lot. It says, "Don't mess with us," "we've got connections" and "Eh, Tommy, get ova heeah." Looks like a mafioso-type pic.
Glad you had a good time.
I don't ever recall calling hotels apartments. I think you are making that up. But anyways, had a blast with you all. Miss you a ton.
