Lest you think

we haven't kept up with the bird hiding game, well we have. I can't believe we have been doing this since July, and to be honest it just feels like second nature. Now we aren't rehiding it every other day or even every week. There are whole weeks and even months (when Brett is looking for the bird) that pass before the bird changes hiding spots.

This morning I was cleaning up the kitchen when I looked down and saw the bird hiding in the pub glass that we keep bottle caps in (very ingenious Mr. McGinness) altough it had only been there for days because the bird spent the last couple of months hanging out in the planter. Okay, maybe Brett has been a little busy the last couple of months so I guess I will cut him some slack.

It gives us something to laugh about and its fun to find out a new hiding spot, cause let's be honest there are only so many places you can hide a little glass bird in our house.

On a side note, because Brett has been working so much lately he took this morning off. It has really thrown off my schedule because it feels like a Sunday. We stayed in bed a little bit longer this morning playing with the pups and cuddling. Then he has been doing yardwork, so I can't really understand why I am having to answer my work phone and e-mail instead of getting to spend the morning outside with Brett. It's great to have him at home and I am fortunate that I work from home so I can go watch him mow the lawn (which is pretty sexy) and maybe bring him a glass of water and steal a kiss. Seriously why is it not Sunday?

What a cute game and I love that little glass bird. I'm sure David would love to play this game with me, but I better find a mini Ford truck or something to hide ;) I must have missed the initial post so I'm going to go catch up on that right now!

Haha! That is so cute it made me smile :) While we're on the subject, do you plan on doing anything with those bottle caps? We have a shoebox full, because I thought maybe someday I'd find something creative to use them for *yeahright*

That is such a cute idea! I love those little things between two people that are random and hilarious and bring a smile to your face. Great for a blog post, too!

Alyssa- I have no clue what we are going to do with those bottle caps kind of like what we are going to do with all the wine corks ;) ha ha. Since you are the craftier one if you ever figure it out you have to tell me.

Sounds like a good time. I envy your bird hiding game. Just want you to know that.

For the wine corks. At our wedding we make a bulletin board with all of the wine corks that people gave us and we put our picture of "then and now." Maybe you could do something like that but have it in your house as a collage of the good and old times you have had together. Maybe take it as your picture board that changes often and thus the need for thumb tacks and a bulleting board.

Just an idea though.

God my grammar sucks. I need to proof read more often before posting right away.

So fun! I miss my college roommate now. We used to hide a horrible glass heart/paper weight through out our appartment.

I suggest hiding it in the water tank for the toilet... then disconnecting the chain, so when he goes to flush and it doesn't work, he has to lift off the lid to the water tank... and there it is, down at the bottom of the water tank. :-) That was my favorite place I hid it.

You two are such a cute couple. That game sounds like a fun way to keep you on your toes, even if it means missing a bird for a few months.

Aww, I love this tradition! You guys are adorable! So cool you're carrying on the tradition from Grandma Helen! And that little bird is the cutest!
